A Sunflower’s Cry To The Sun

Poem by Malar Harris, Malaysia

A Sunflower’s Cry To The Sun

You are my heart’s desire,
Burning like a blazing fire.
Your beams keep me warm;
Your heat brings no harm.

From dawn to dusk I follow your track,
My faith in You fears no attack,
I delight in Your gentle touch,
That comforts me so very much.

I’m not worthy to look at You,
For You are clothed in glory so bright.
My petals are a fading sight,
But Your beauty shall forever abide.

Come near and comfort me, I pray,
This humble request in You I plea.
For You alone can make me content
Because You alone are heaven sent.

My Sun, I am Your follower.
Do not forget this little flower
Without You I am hopeless forever
Without You, my Sun, I’ll surely wither.

The Lord God is a sun and shield. He gives us grace and glory.
—Psalm 84:11

Five Loaves and two fishes

The Master needs what you have to offer,
No matter if you think it’s small;
His work on earth is done through His children,
So give Him your best, give your all. —Hess
